Mailmeteor – AI email assistant that challenges Google Gemini in Gmail
We built an AI email assistant that integrates natively with Gmail, providing contextual email writing and automation capabilities without requiring users to leave their inbox. What it does:
- Runs as a lightweight Chrome extension - Uses LLMs fine-tuned on email context/threads - Privacy-first approach: no email content stored - Handles both personal emails and marketing campaigns - Works entirely within Gmail's interface
The project started 6 years ago as a mail merge tool and evolved into a complete email suite. We're now adding AI capabilities while keeping it focused on email productivity. Core features:
